Shower base installation tips:
- Verify style and measurement
- Trial fit the shower base. The base should be installed pre-drywall
against the studs. Make sure the base is level. We recommend setting
the base in a bed of mortar for extreme out of level conditions.
This will provide complete support of the bottom. Use shims to
level. Nail or glue shims to the floor.
- Install the drain according to manufacturer’s directions.
A good quality sealant should be used under the drain collar and
bottom washer. Tighten the nut to finger tight plus 1/2 to 1 turn.
It is important that you Do not overtighten the drain.
Wipe off excess silicone immediately. (Do not use plumbers
putty.)
